Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Career Compass (the "Service"), operated by eLearningMinds Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1074743-T, "eLearningMinds", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian's consent to use the Service. By signing up, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at hello@epitome.global if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Permitted Use

The Service is provided for career exploration and educational guidance. You agree to:

• Use the Service only for its intended purpose
• Provide truthful and accurate information in your assessments and profile
• Not attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. AI-Powered Features

The Service uses AI to score your assessment, parse your CV (if you upload one), generate career suggestions, and power the AI Career Advisor chat. These outputs are guidance, not authoritative advice. They do not constitute professional career counselling, educational advice, or guarantees of any outcome.

Assessment results reflect your responses at the time of completion and may change with repeated assessments. AI-generated outputs are probabilistic and should be considered alongside input from school counsellors, family, and others who know you.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

6. Pricing & Free Use

Career Compass is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future. We will not charge you for features you use today without giving you advance notice and obtaining your express consent. Free use today does not grant a right to perpetual free access; we reserve the right to modify the free tier on a forward-looking basis.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, assessment instrument, framework, and content, is owned by eLearningMinds. You retain ownership of the personal information you provide. You grant eLearningMinds a licence to process your information as described in the Privacy Policy for the purpose of operating the Service.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. eLearningMinds may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, eLearningMinds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except as required by applicable law.

In particular, eLearningMinds does not guarantee any educational outcome, admission to any institution, or career outcome based on assessment results or AI-generated suggestions.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
